Future Recommendation Ideas

The future strategies for Dolce & Gabbana came from me looking at Dolce & Gabbana's campaigns and comparing them to what many of the brands competitors are doing. From this, I was able to see the differences, with some being that in many of Dolce & Gabbana's campaigns, there is multiple people in each image. Although it's a minor suggestion, reducing that amount of people in each image could make consumers have a better connection with the brand and the clothing.


Another strategy for Dolce & Gabbana was to create more fashion films to go along with their campaigns. While analysing the brands Instagram, there was a pattern of video posts having higher views and likes than the average image post, e.g. 105,300 views and 20,000 likes.
With other brands such as Gucci continuing to make film campaigns, it could be a good suggestion fro Dolce & Gabbana to create more films. Along with the, fashion films, along with the use of social media influencers and celebrities, could lead to Dolce & Gabbana having more exposure and thus appealing to new consumers. This come from the fact that, in the past the brand has not been able to penetrate the Chinese market (look at consumer demographic blog post). Therefore, films could target these missing consumers.

Furthermore, the use of technology in the brand could also reach more consumers. If Dolce & Gabbana were able to create a VR game experience that could be featured within a film campaign and then being something that could be played by consumers in store, could mean that it may go viral and make more and more people want to shop at Dolce & Gabbana. A VR experience may be something that appeals to a younger and Asian demographic, but not changing the clothing will make sure that the brand is still appealing to the older demographic.
